StenAst® 2EP MT is a two-component, water-dilutable, epoxy-based primer. Its water-based structure allows application on wet and moist surfaces. With its moisture-tolerant, breathable structure that permits water vapor transmission, it is an excellent primer, and its ability to penetrate the surface lets it serve as a surface protector and hardener. By penetrating deep into concrete, it inhibits water diffusion into the top coating.
Areas of Use
StenAst® 2EP MT is a water-based primer prepared for top coats and materials such as StenCoat®, StenSeal®, StenSport® and StenCare®, applied especially on concrete, steel, wood, epoxy and polyurethane surfaces. As a waterproof primer usable on indoor and outdoor asphalt and concrete floors, its high impregnation capacity makes it preferable on rough, absorbent and cracked surfaces, penetrating deep into cracks and pores to prepare the floor for top coating. It enhances the adhesion of polymer-modified cementitious materials on old concrete, fills microcracks and acts as a surface hardener and dust inhibitor. It is also used alone where shrinkage cracks occur to protect concrete from freeze/thaw damage.
