StenAst® 2EP is a two-component, solvent-free, epoxy-based primer developed for Stenkim’s polymer-based surface coatings, top coats and joint sealants. Thanks to its specially designed hardener, it offers excellent wetting properties and adhesion. It penetrates deep into concrete, reducing water and moisture migration into the top coat, and acts as a strong primer, surface hardener and dust inhibitor. It is CE marked in accordance with EN 1504-2.
Areas of Use
StenAst® 2EP is a primer developed for top coats such as StenCoat®, StenSeal®, StenSport® and StenCare®, applied especially on concrete, asphalt, steel, wood, epoxy and polyurethane surfaces. It is suitable for outdoor asphalt and concrete pavements where polyurethane surface coatings will be applied. It enhances the adhesion of polymer-modified cementitious materials applied to old concrete for repair or coating purposes, and it is also used to fill microcracks in concrete surfaces and to act as a surface hardener and dust inhibitor for concrete pavements.
