Two-component conductive epoxy primer that forms a continuous conductive layer between grounding reinforcement and the top coat for antistatic floors and metal surfaces.

StenAst® 2EP CC is a two-component, epoxy-based conductive primer. Applied under epoxy-based floor coatings and paints, it forms a continuous conductive layer between the grounding reinforcement and the top coat beneath conductive or antistatic coatings. This prevents any breakage or cracking in the top coat, or loss of contact in ground-connected equipment, from creating insulating areas in the coating. It is resistant to moisture, fuels, oils, inorganic acids and diluted bases.

Areas of Use

StenAst® 2EP CC is used together with StenCoat® 2EP CC to create a floor that prevents the accumulation of static electricity. Typical applications include factory floors, fuel depots, areas where flammable gases are processed or stored, explosive-material manufacturing and storage areas, and areas where sensitive electronic materials are produced. It is preferred where high-thickness antistatic coatings are needed or where static discharge must be very fast. Thanks to its semi-flowable consistency, it suits horizontal and sloped applications, and it can also be used as a conductive paint primer on metal surfaces, especially in flammable and explosive environments such as inside fuel tanks.
