StenSilan® M PLUS is a high-performance, single-component, silane-based water and oil repellent impregnation agent for mineral surfaces such as natural stone, marble, concrete and plaster. It chemically bonds to the surface and penetrates deep into the material without forming a film, giving it a hydrophobic and oleophobic character. Liquids such as coffee, tea, wine and olive oil cannot enter the structure, and residue on the surface wipes away easily. Because it forms no separate coating, it carries none of the peeling, separating, embrittlement or slipperiness risks of other impregnation materials, while delivering an extended protection life.
Areas of Use
StenSilan® M PLUS prevents marble, granite, lymra and slate surfaces from absorbing water and oil. Alongside frequently cleaned tourist facilities, restaurants and shopping malls, it is especially preferred for high-performance applications such as exterior facades, kitchen countertops and floors subject to heavy foot traffic. Since it does not clog capillary canals it does not impede the surface from breathing, and by preventing water in hairline cracks from freezing and deforming the surface it prolongs coating life. It is also used to protect any natural stone, mineral or fired-clay surface exposed to atmospheric conditions.
