StenCoat® 2EP CC is a two-component, epoxy-based conductive coating. It can be used as an intermediate or top coat for seamless conductive or antistatic coatings. It has high surface and volume conductivity and acts as a charge dissipator. It is resistant to moisture, fuels, oils, inorganic acids and diluted bases. It prevents dusting and wetting and increases the surface’s resistance to water.
Areas of Use
StenCoat® 2EP CC is used to create a floor that prevents the accumulation of static electricity in factory floors, fuel storage facilities and areas where flammable gases are processed, filled or stored, in areas where explosive materials are manufactured or stored, and in areas where sensitive electronic materials are produced, transported or stored. It is preferred where high-thickness antistatic coatings are needed or where static discharge must be very fast. It can also be used as a paint on metal surfaces: especially inside fuel tanks and similar areas with flammable and explosive gases, static charge held by the paint threatens occupational safety, and a conductive paint ensures that charges are transmitted to ground as soon as they reach the surface.
