StenCoat® 2EP 312 is a two-component, epoxy-based resin binder for terrazzo systems. It creates long-lasting, permanent and decorative surfaces with high abrasion and chemical resistance. It is compatible with different types of aggregates and can be used with fine or coarse mineral aggregates (marble or granite), colored or transparent glass, mirror pieces, suitable synthetic aggregates and sea shells to create custom designs. It suits high foot-traffic areas, hygienic zones and wet floors, and is resistant to water, detergents and disinfectants. It produces seamless surfaces that are easy to clean and do not generate dust. In this product, the colour change caused by UV in epoxy-based coatings is reduced, although it cannot be completely prevented.
Areas of Use
StenCoat® 2EP 312 is used as a binder for terrazzo systems. It creates an extremely durable, smooth, easy-to-clean and hygienic surface on floors in hospitals, restaurants, kitchens, pharmaceutical research centers, schools, banks, lobbies, shopping malls, airport terminals, train and bus stations, convention centers and similar places. It can be finished semi-matt or glossy, and worn floors can be renewed to their original appearance with just a top coat.

For best results, StenCoat® 2PUV 401, 402 or 403 — which substantially blocks UV rays — can be applied as a top coat; these varnishes are available in gloss levels from full gloss to full matt.
