StenCare® 2IP-7 is a solvent-free, two-component polyurethane injection material. On contact with water it hardens rapidly, forming an impermeable, semi-flexible foam that stops leaks. Thanks to its very low viscosity it penetrates even the thinnest cracks, and its reaction time can be tuned to job-site conditions by adjusting the amount of the B component in the mix. It adheres perfectly to concrete, has low flammability and is solvent-free, containing no volatiles harmful to health (VOC=0).
Areas of Use
StenCare® 2IP-7 is used to provide waterproofing in underground constructions and tunnel applications. Even after the two components are mixed, the reaction does not advance until the material contacts water, which permits long-distance injection. It penetrates deeply, filling voids and cracks between layers with resin, and on contact with water it cuts off water flow by forming an impermeable, semi-flexible foam. Its very low viscosity ensures effective sealing even in the thinnest cracks.
