StenCare® 2IP-3 is a solvent-free, two-component polyurethane injection resin with a 1:1 mixing ratio. Its quick-setting behavior makes it suitable for rapid strata reinforcement, particularly in mining and tunnel works. It adheres excellently to various rock, substrates and concrete, and delivers high tensile and compressive strength. It has low flammability, releases no VOCs during use, and its low exotherm makes for a safe application.
Areas of Use
StenCare® 2IP-3 is used in mining and tunnel applications for soil stabilization and for filling cracks in tunnel-lining and diaphragm concretes. When used as an injection material, it stops water leakage. Penetrating deeply, it fills voids and cracks between layers with a high-strength polyurethane resin. If it encounters groundwater, it foams to fill the available volume and prevents future water leakage or accumulation.
