SN Flux® 453 is a delayed-activation polycarboxylic ether (PCE) solution developed for producing water-reducing and superplasticizing concrete admixtures with enhanced slump retention. With 55% active content it is a high-concentration grade. It has a low plasticizing effect right after the concrete is mixed; over time more of the polymer is activated, avoiding slump loss and delivering long-lasting slump retention. Its low air entrainment makes it suitable for precast and ready-mix concrete production.
Areas of Use
SN Flux® 453 is suitable for formulating high-range water-reducing / superplasticizing admixtures where enhanced slump retention is required. Thanks to its delayed activation profile it has only a low plasticizing effect on freshly mixed concrete; over time more of the polymer activates and slump loss is avoided. For higher initial slump or flow, it is recommended to blend it with other SN Flux® grades.
