SN Flux 404

Water-Based Polycarboxylate Ether (PCE) Solution for the Production of Concrete Admixtures

Concrete Admixture Raw Materials · Long Slump-Retention PCEs

High-clay-tolerance, delayed-activation polycarboxylic ether (PCE) solution that reduces slump loss, for producing water-reducing concrete admixtures.

SN Flux® 404 is a delayed-activation polycarboxylic ether (PCE) solution developed for producing water-reducing and superplasticizing concrete admixtures with enhanced slump retention. It provides only a limited plasticizing effect immediately after the concrete is mixed; as time passes, more of the polymer is activated and slump loss is reduced. Its high clay tolerance keeps formulations stable against clay contamination from aggregates, and its low air entrainment makes it suitable for precast and ready-mix concrete production.

Areas of Use

SN Flux® 404 is suitable for formulating high-range water-reducing / superplasticizing admixtures where enhanced slump retention is required. Thanks to its delayed activation profile it provides only limited plasticizing effect immediately after mixing; over time more of the polymer activates and slump loss is reduced. For higher initial slump or flow, it is recommended to blend it with other SN Flux® grades.
