StenAst® S is a single-component, silane-based surface conditioner prepared for all Stenkim polymer-based surface coatings, top coats and joint sealants. Unlike film-forming primers, it forms a layer just a few molecules thick, reacting with the surface at one end and with the applied material at the other to chemically strengthen adhesion. It is transparent, leaves no mark, and its short curing time allows fast application.
Areas of Use
StenAst® S is prepared for Stenkim polymer-based coating materials, top coats and joint sealants such as StenCoat®, StenSeal®, StenSport® and StenCare®, applied especially on concrete, wood, epoxy and polyurethane surfaces. It ensures adhesion without forming a third layer between the surface and the material. It is very suitable for newly cut joints in concrete pavements; since it leaves no mark when it spills outside the joint, it does not spoil the appearance, and its short waiting time for the top coat allows fast working. In dusty environments, or when old joint material is removed and replaced, take extra care with surface cleaning.
